How do I delete a top-level Lessons page?

Deleting a lessons page is a two-part process. First, you must remove the Lessons page from the Tool Menu or page link, and then you can delete it from the site. 

Go to Lessons.

If you titled your page something other than Lessons, select the title of the page as it appears in your Tool Menu. Be sure to select the page you would like to delete.

Select More Tools.

Select More Tools from the Actions Menu.

Select Remove Page.

Select Remove Page from the dialog box.

Select Remove.

A confirmation message will appear. Select Remove to proceed with removal of the page from the site Tool Menu.

Next, go to the Index of Pages.

From any other Lessons page in the site, select Index of Pages from the Actions Menu.

Select page/s, then click Delete selected pages.

You will see the list of pages in the site with the unused pages listed at the bottom. Only items that are not linked from any other location can be permanently removed from the site.

  1. To permanently delete a page, check the checkbox to the left of the page title.
  2. Select Delete selected pages to completely delete the selected pages from the site.
