How do I embed an audio file on a Lessons page?

Updated on

Warning: Content uploaded to Lessons is also uploaded to the corresponding folder in Resources. As the Resources tool has a 1GB quota per site, the instructions below are only recommended for short audio clips of a few minutes. Longer audio clips will quickly consume the storage in Resources and instead should be uploaded to Panopto. See the Panopto Guide for more information.

Go to Lessons.

select Lessons from the site Tool Menu

If you titled your page something other than Lessons, select the title of the page as it appears in your Tool Menu.

The audio file will be uploaded to the Resources folder corresponding to the Lessons page where it was uploaded.

Alert: The audio file is not streamed to the viewer. The larger the audio file, the longer it will take for the audio file to load. As mentioned above, content in Resources is subject to a 1GB quota per Sakai site, so the process outlined here is best for short video clips only.
