How do I create multiple sections on a Lessons page?

Updated on

When content items are added to a Lessons page, everything is displayed in a linear order vertically in one block without any visual section breaks. Adding multiple sections on a Lessons page breaks up this one big block into smaller blocks so that the page is more readable and visually more appealing.

A section is defined as one block of info flanked with light gray lines. One section may contain one or multiple columns.

Creating sections involves three steps.

Go to Lessons.

Lessons tool highlighted in site Tool Menu

If you titled your page something other than Lessons, select the title of the page as it appears in your Tool Menu.

Note: The Lessons page must already contain content before adding sections.

Select an item's + button and Add Section Break Above.

Select +.

Plus icon appears on hover

Select the + (Add new item) icon that appears when you hover your cursor over a Lessons item.

Select Add section break.

Add Content dialog box

Under the Layout Elements heading, select Add section break below.

View the section break.

Section break appears, divising the page visually

This will break the page items into sections. Notice that each section has its own icon to modify the section settings.
