additional settings appear after checking the box to enable turnitin

Upon checking the checkbox Use Turnitin, additional options will appear. Generally, the default settings are sufficient and do not require modification.

Some considerations may include:

  1. Allow students to view report. Selecting this option will allow students to access the Feedback Studio interface to view the specific instances flagged, if any, and may help with students learning to cite properly. Select this option also if you wish to use the feedback features in Feedback Studio so students can receive evaluations of their work in the Turnitin interface.
  2. Submit papers to Standard Paper Repository. Do not direct submissions to the Standard Paper Repository for assignments where students will submit multiple drafts as their submissions will be reviewed against prior submissions, likely resulting in a higher similarity score.

Post the assignment.

Select Post

After reviewing and completing the other necessary assignment folder settings, select Post to publish the assignment folder, or Save Draft to return to the assignment later.
