How do I add and display contextual information about a file or folder?

Add a description to files and folders in Resources to help provide context or to provide details that can't be expressed in the title. Site participants can view  details by clicking on the information icon located to the right of the item.

Select Resources.

Select Resources.

Select the Resources tool from the site Tool Menu.

Select Actions, and then select Edit Details.

Select Actions, and then select Edit Details.
  1. Select the Actions dropdown menu associated with a file or folder.
  2. Select Edit Details.

Enter details, and then select Update.

Enter details, and then select Update.

Enter (or paste) details about the file or folder in the Description box, then Select Update.

View item details.

View item details.

The description is available to participants by selecting the information icon.
