How do I change the Email tool options for my site?

Use the Options area to optionally customize how the Email tool with behave. 

Consider whether:

  • copies will be CC'ed to the sender and/or the Email Archive tool (if activated)
  • recipient addresses should be displayed within messages for all recipients to see
  • recipients should be able to reply to the sender of the email
  • invalid or incorrect recipient addresses will be noted as such while sending email
  • while sending to a user group that has no users, the sender should be notified of this

Go to Email.

Select the Email tool from the Tool Menu of your site.

Select the default settings.

Optionally modify default settings by selecting the check boxes or radio buttons associated with each option. These settings will become the default Email tool settings for the entire site.

For example, you may want to check the box for Send me a copy and Add to Email Archive so that they are selected by default. (Individual users may still choose to de-select these two options when sending a message.)

Click Update Defaults.

Click the Update Defaults button to save your changes.
