How do I add to or remove a tag from a Conversations post?

Tags are used to organize related topics. Instructors in the course can create tags, while any site participant can apply a tag to their new or existing topics. Entire topics, but not individual posts within topics, can be tagged.

Go to the Conversations tool.

Select Conversations from the site Tool Menu. 

Adding a tag to a new topic

Create new topic.

Select button Create new topic in Topics area.

Author the topic.

Use the Tag topic menu.

  1. Open the Tag topic menu.
  2. Select a tag.
  3. Select Add.

Publish the topic.

Select Publish.

Select a topic.

Select an existing topic in the conversations area of the page.

Select Edit.

  1. Select the Topic options menu icon in the topic area.
  2. Select Edit.

Use the Tag topic menu.

  1. Open the Tag topic menu.
  2. Select a tag.
  3. Select Add.

Publish the topic.

Select Publish.

Removing a tag.

Select a topic.

Select an existing post in the conversations area of the page.

Select Edit.

  1. Select the Topic options menu icon in the topic area.
  2. Select Edit

Remove tag.

Select the remove icon.

Publish the topic.

Select Publish.
