This outlines the process of contacting an author of a post using their account email. Typically, the email option is only available to instructors or site owners.
Go to Discussions.
Select Discussions from the Tool Menu of your site.
Select a Topic.
Select the title of a Topic.
Select a conversation.
Choose Email.
To contact the author of a post, select the Email option associated with the post.
