Updated on

A VoiceThread assignment created in the VoiceThread Assignment Builder will provide clear prompts and details as to what is required for the assignment to be completed.

A VoiceThread assignment can be found on a Lessons page or via the VoiceThread tool in the Tool Menu.

There are three types of VoiceThread Assignments: Create, Comment, and Watch. Please view each section below to see a video tutorial and accompanying step-by-step directions for each type of assignment.

In general, the assignment submission page contains the following:

  1. The assignment instructions or description provided by your instructor.
  2. The assignment requirements: In this example, we can identify this assignment as a Create assignment type because the requirement states to "Add at least 1 slide."
  3. The yellow Start assignment button to begin the submission process.
  4. The assignment deadline, if set.
  5. The assignment grade type, which could be Points, Percentage, or Complete/Incomplete.
  6. The assignment submission status.

When the programmed assignment requirements are met, the Submit button will appear.
