Access VoiceThread.
Select Sign in at the top right corner.

On the next page, select Sign in.

On the next screen, select Sign in.
Enter credentials.

- Enter UVID and Loyola password in the designated fields.
- Then, select Sign in.
Select VoiceThread.

In a Sakai site, select the VoiceThread tool from the site Tool Menu.
Note: To add the VoiceThread tool to a Sakai course, see How do I add the VoiceThread tool to my course?
Select + Add a VoiceThread.

Select the + Add a VoiceThread button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Note: Before creating or commenting on a VoiceThread, ensure that your web browser is set to allow pop-ups.
Select Create a new VoiceThread.

Select the Create a new VoiceThread option.
Select content type.
Note: If you select video slide or audio slide, you may need to open VoiceThread in a new browser tab.

Select one of the options to add or record media:
- Add from computer: Choose one or more files from your computer.
- Record video slide: Begin a new video recording using your computer's internal webcam or an external, connected camera.
- Copy from VoiceThread: Copy an existing VoiceThread.
- External source: Select media from Flickr or Google Drive.
- Enter a URL: Add an image or video from the internet by entering its URL.
- Take a picture: Take a photo using your webcam.
- Record audio slide: Begin a new audio recording using your computer's internal microphone or an external, connected microphone.
Note: If you select video slide, take a picture, or audio slide, you may be prompted to allow VoiceThread to access your microphone and camera. If prompted, select Allow.
Add additional media. (Optional)

To add additional media to your VoiceThread, select the + Add media button. See Select a Media Type for a description of the different media you may add.
Select a slide.

To begin adding comments to your VoiceThread, select any slide.
Note: The playhead icon will appear on a slide as you hover your cursor over that slide.
Select Comment.

To comment on the media added to your VoiceThread, select the Comment (i.e., speech bubble) icon.
Select a comment type.

Select one of the options to add or record a comment:
- Text: Type a text comment.
- Audio Comment: Record an audio comment using your computer's internal microphone or an external, connected microphone.
- Video Comment: Record a video comment using your computer's internal webcam or an external, connected camera.
- Upload a Comment: Select a file on your computer to add as a comment.
Note: If you select Audio Comment or Video Comment, you may be prompted to allow VoiceThread to access your microphone and camera. If prompted, select Allow.
Play comment. (Optional)

Once added, your comment will be visible in the comments panel on the left. Your initials or profile photo, your name, and the date and time are visible in the comments panel. To play, reply to, or delete your comment, select it from the comments panel.
