If you are using the default share settings in VoiceThread, students may need to authenticate their account for your course before accessing a recording in the Lessons tool. See How do I authenticate my VoiceThread account for a Sakai Site? for instructions.
Locate the VoiceThread and select Share.
Within the VoiceThread tool view VT Home or in VoiceThread web, locate the VoiceThread that you would like to embed.
1. Select the ellipses on the desired VoiceThread tile to reveal a dropdown.
2. Then, select the Share icon from the dropdown.
Locate and copy the embed code.
- From the Share options, select the embed </> tab.
- Select the button Copy code to copy the embed code to your computer clipboard.
Select Lessons.
Select the Lessons tool in the Sakai site Tool Menu.
Select Add Content.
Select Add Content from the Actions Menu.
Add content item
Select Embed Content on the Page from the dialog box.
Embed Content on the page with Add new URL.
- Select Add new URL (web link) from the dialog box.
- Paste the embed code in the text box marked Or add a URL or "embed code."
Select Save.
Preview your content in the Embed Content on Page dialog box. Select Save again.
Improve accessibility (Optional).
Select Edit.
Select the Edit icon (i.e., the pencil icon) that appears when you hover your cursor over the embedded VoiceThread.
Add a description.
- Enter a brief description in the Item Description text field.
- Select Save to apply changes.
Updated embedded item displays.
The embedded VoiceThread displays on the Lessons page with the added description below.
