How do I upload a Zoom recording to Panopto?

Updated on

It is important to review the Guidelines for Recording Students during Online Classes before uploading and sharing any recordings.

These instructions demonstrate how to upload a locally-saved Zoom recording to a Panopto course folder. If you have recorded a Zoom meeting to the Zoom cloud, you may instead wish to share the cloud recording with students by email or through the Brightspace Zoom Pro tool.

Access Panopto.

To access a course Panopto folder:

  1. Select More from the course Navigation Bar (Navbar).
  2. Choose Panopto from the dropdown menu.

Otherwise, you may navigate directly to Loyola's Panopto site and login with your Loyola credentials. Then, open the folder where you would like to upload a Zoom recording.

Select Create.

In the upper-right corner of the screen, select Create.

Choose Upload media.

From the dropdown menu, choose Upload media.

Upload file.

Drag and drop your Zoom recording file into the box. If you are unable to drag and drop the file, select the box to browse your computer for the file.

Note: Please see Managing computer recordings for information about changing the default location of local Zoom recordings.

Processing Media.

Once the green check appears to the left of the title of the file, you may close this window. The file will finish processing and will be available on Panopto.
