Select Lessons.
Select the Lessons tool in the site Tool Menu.
Note: The default or blank Lessons page contains text and images that explain the basic functionality of the Lessons tool.
Select Add Content.
Select Add Content from the Actions Menu.
Select Add Content Links.
Select Add Content Links from the dialog box.
Select Choose Files.
Select Select existing file from Resources, then the Select Resources(s) button to browse your site Resources for an existing file.
Locate the file and select Open.
Locate the file in the list of available Resources. Then, select Select. Once selected, the item will no longer have the Select link appear in the row.
Select Continue.
The items to be added from Resources will appear at the top of the page. Select Continue.
Linked file displays on page.
This returns the display to the Lessons page with a link to the uploaded file.
Select Add Content.
Select Add Content from the Actions Menu.
Select Add Content Links.
Select Add Content Links from the dialog box.
Select Browse... to locate a local file.
Upload local file.
- Choose the file to upload.
- Select Open.
Upload file.
The filename will appear in the Add Content Links dialog box. Select Save to upload the file.
View file link on the page.
The file you have selected will appear on the Lessons page as a content link.
File appears in Resources.
Notice the location of the uploaded file in the site Resources is within the Lessons page.
To add a description, select Edit. (Optional)
Select the Edit icon (i.e., the pencil icon) that appears when you hover your cursor over the linked file.
Add a description, and then click Update Item.
- Enter a description in the Item Description field.
- Then, select Update Item.
Updated item displays.
The file displays with the updated item description below.
