How do I add a file from Resources to a Lessons page?

Select Lessons.

Select Lessons

Select the Lessons tool in the site Tool Menu.

Note: The default or blank Lessons page contains text and images that explain the basic functionality of the Lessons tool.

To link to an existing file in Resources:
Select Add Content

Select Add Content from the Actions Menu.

Select Add Content Links

Select Add Content Links from the dialog box.

Select Choose Files.

Select Choose Files

Select Select existing file from Resources, then the Select Resources(s) button to browse your site Resources for an existing file.

Locate the file and select Open.

Locate the file and select Open

Locate the file in the list of available Resources. Then, select Select. Once selected, the item will no longer have the Select link appear in the row.

Select Continue.

Select Save

The items to be added from Resources will appear at the top of the page. Select Continue.

This returns the display to the Lessons page with a link to the uploaded file.

To add a description, select Edit. (Optional)

Select Edit

Select the Edit icon (i.e., the pencil icon) that appears when you hover your cursor over the linked file.

Add a description, and then click Update Item.

Enter item description and select Update Item
  1. Enter a description in the Item Description field.
  2. Then, select Update Item.

Updated item displays.
