How do I create a Web Content link to a folder or file in Resources?

Instructors can use the Web Content tool to link to a folder or a file in Resources. Any changes to the Resources folder or file will be reflected in the Web Content link.

Select Resources.

Select Resources from your site's tool menu

In the target Sakai site, select the Resources tool from the Tool Menu.

Select Actions and choose Make web content link

Locate the folder or file you want to link to, then:

  1. Select the Actions button to the right of the folder.
  2. Choose Make Web Content Link.

Type a Title and select Add.

  1. Type a Title for your web content link. This is the title that will appear listed in the Tool Menu of your site.
  2. Select Add.

Select the new tool button to access the file or contents of the folder.

Select the new Web Content tool (renamed in the above step) in your site menu to view the file or folder and its contents.
