How do I create mathematical equations with LaTeX in a text box?

Sakai can display LaTeX equations as mathematical notation in the Rich  Text Editor. Using LaTeX options, instructors and students can simply  write LaTeX in an enabled tool and the resulting equation will display.

Go to Site Info.

Select Site Info from site Tools menu.

Select Manage Tools.

Select the Manage Tools tab from the Actions menu.

Select checkbox to enable MathJax.

Select checkbox Enable MathJax for automatic rendering of LaTex and AsciiMath in this site.

Select Continue.

Continue button

Scroll down and select Continue button.

Confirm site tools edits.

The confirm site tools edits page will display enabling of LaTex. Select Finish button to apply changes.
