How does anonymous posting work in Conversations?

Post topics and responses in Conversations anonymously, maintaining the identity of the author from the site participants.

Instructors and site owners can still view the author's username, regardless of the posting setting.

Go to the Conversations tool.

Select Conversations from the site Tool Menu. 

Create new topic.

Select the button Create new topic.

Author the topic.

Configure the Post options.

In the Post options area:

  • Activate Anonymous to post the topic anonymously.
  • Activate Anonymous Posts to allow anonymous responses to the topic.

Publish post.

Publish button

Select Publish to post the topic, or Save as Draft to retain the topic with saved post options for later posting.

Verify the topic.

The author information displays students as Anonymous.
