How do I create a multi-part syllabus by dates?

Select Syllabus.

select Syllabus

In the target Sakai site, select the Syllabus tool from the Tool Menu.

Select Add.

Select Add from the Actions Menu.

Enter Syllabus information.

  1. Enter a Title. Each syllabus item will contain the title entered with a number appended.
  2. Select the radio button for Create syllabus items by dates to create items corresponding to specific days of the week during a specified time period. After selecting this radio button, additional options will appear.
  3. Select the calendar-picker icon to specify the start date of the course.
  4. Select the calendar-picker to specify the end date of the course.
  5. (Optional) Specify the start and end times of the class meetings.
  6. Check the checkboxes to indicate which days of the week the course meets.
  7. Select Add and Publish.

Select Manage

Select Edit details

To attach a file to a syllabus item:

Select Add attachments.

Browse for the file on the computer, or attach a copy from the course Resources, then select Continue.

Rearranging Syllabus items.

Select the crosshair icon to the left of the syllabus item heading and drag it to the desired location.

Publish/unpublish a Syllabus item.

Select the checkbox next to the Syllabus item to publish or unpublish the item.  If the box is checked, the item is visible to students. If it is unchecked, it is hidden from students.

Note: The label "DRAFT" is applied to unpublished Syllabus items. Once published, the "DRAFT" label disappears.

Delete a Syllabus item.

Select the checkbox under remove next to any Syllabus item then select Update to delete it.

Confirm deletion.

Confirm the permanent deletion of the Syllabus item by selecting Update.
