How do I import grades into Gradebook?

Go to Gradebook.

Select Gradebook from your site's Tool Menu

Select Gradebook from the site Tool Menu.

Select Import/Export.

Select Import/Export

Select Import/Export from the actions menu.

Select Browse.

Select Browse

Select the Browse button to browse for and select your import file.

Note: The import file must be in a specific format in order to import correctly. It should be a .csv file and contain the appropriate student and Gradebook item data. See How do I format my file for importing grades into Gradebook? for more information.

Select Continue.

Locate the file and select Continue

After locating and selecting the import .csv file, select Continue to import the grades.

Select the items to be imported.

Select new items to import and select Next

A summary of changes will be previewed for you. Check the checkbox next to each of the items to reflect the updates retrieved from the imported file.

Then, select Next to continue with the import. (If any errors are detected, select Back to abort the import process.)

Create new grade item.

Modify new item options and select Next

If new grade items were added to the imported file, check the checkbox for the new item and follow the prompt to edit the item options for each new grade item.

The New Item Creation page will display. Select the desired options and select Next to continue.

NOTE: Item options may differ depending on your specific Gradebook settings (e.g., Grading Rubric and Category options).

Select Finish.

Select Finish to complete the grade item creation.

Successful import confirmation displays.

A confirmation message displays

A confirmation banner will display above the grades once import file data has been imported successfully.
