How do I create a VoiceThread Assignment using Assignment Builder?

Updated

Add the VoiceThread tool.

Add VoiceThread to the site either by adding the VoiceThread tool to the site Tools menu or by adding a VoiceThread learning app link in Lessons.

To add VoiceThread to the site tools menu, see How do I add VoiceThread to a Sakai site?

Go to the Lessons tool (or Lessons page) that will feature the VoiceThread Assignment.

Configure VoiceThread Assignment type.

VoiceThread Assignment Builder has three (3) different assignment types to configure: Create, Comment, or Watch.

The Create assignment type requires students to create a VoiceThread. Sample contexts might include a presentation slide deck with narration, a multimodal journal, or a recorded technique demonstration.

The Comment assignment type requires students to comment on an existing VoiceThread that you upload. Sample contexts might include close reading exercises, such as commenting on a painting or political cartoon, responding to a reading prompt, or responding to a question.

The Watch assignment type requires students to view an existing VoiceThread of your choosing. Sample contexts might include viewing a lecture, viewing another student presentation, or viewing a gallery.
